PURE SAFETY GROUP LEADERS TAKE ON ROLES WITH STANDARDS ORGANIZATIONS

Matt Moreau named head of ISEA dropped objects committee,

Faber named vice chair of ANSI anchorage connectors committee

HOUSTON, TX (AUGUST 11, 2020) – Mathew Moreau, product manager of dropped tools and FME at Pure Safety Group (PSG), has been named chairperson of the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) Standards Committee for Dropped Objects Solutions. The committee is the first ever to focus exclusively on preventing dropped object hazards in general industry, construction and other sectors that involve work at height. In 2018, the committee set the first U.S. standard to establish design, testing and performance criteria for active systems used to prevent dropped objects in the workplace. Dropped objects cause 278 deaths and 52,700 injuries a year in the U.S. alone, according to the latest statistics, making it the third-leading occupational safety hazard.

PSG STATEMENT REGARDING RESOLUTION TO SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS

HOUSTON, TX (JULY 2, 2020) – Joseph Piccione, CEO, PSG has resigned following personal commentary he made on social media recently that was inconsistent and incompatible with the company's values and those of its stakeholders.

While the company looks for a replacement for the CEO, Kevin Coplan, Chairman, has stepped into the role of CEO on an interim basis. He will work alongside the executive team, to oversee the direction of the company.

FERNANDEZ JOINS PSG AS WESTERN SALES LEADER

HOUSTON, TX (June 18, 2020) – Fall protection leader Pure Safety Group (PSG) named Randy Fernandez as head of sales for PSG’s western region of the U.S., which now encompasses Louisiana and Texas, effective June 1, 2020. In this leadership role, Fernandez will be a primary resource for companies using fall protection equipment in the region. He will manage a team of eight fall protection experts, working with businesses to understand their fall protection, dropped objects prevention, and confined space and rescue needs as well as advising on proper equipment and training for a thorough and effective safety program.

NEW GUARDIAN RETRACTABLE HLL INTRODUCED BY PURE SAFETY GROUP

HOUSTON, TX (June 18, 2020) -- Pure Safety Group, the world’s only company dedicated exclusively to fall protection for workers at height, introduces the Guardian Retractable HLL (horizontal lifeline). Available July 8 in North America, the HLL is for use in either fall arrest or fall restraint applications.

During a fall, the Retractable HLL will deploy an extending metal energy absorber designed to reduce peak loads to anchorage structures.

The new Retractable HLL can also be used as part of a fall restraint system, which prevents the worker from reaching the leading edge of a fall hazard.

HOUSTON (March 6, 2020) – Pure Safety Group (PSG) has released an immediate recall on Guardian Fall Protection Diablo Big Block Leading Edge Self-Retracting Lifeline. Due to a potential manufacturing defect over the period of February 2019 through February 2020, this product must be immediately removed from service and returned for inspection and repair.

There have been no reported accidents or injuries related to this recall.
