Kassling is a board member of Pure Safety Group, PurePower Technologies and lead director of Wabtec Corporation. He is also a board member of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Texas Rangers, and he’s on the advisory board for the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.
Previously, Kassling was chairman and president and CEO of Wabtec; vice president and group executive for Railway Products; strategic planning and development and building specialties at American Standard; and held various operating and strategic planning positions with Clark Equipment Company. He also served as an officer in the United States Navy. Kassling earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University, where he also received an honorary doctoral degree.
